Okay, the kiln is full. On Monday evening, the door was bricked up and the burners (pilots) were started. The pilots will warmed the kiln until this morning and I got up early to start the firing. The kiln warmed-up to about 400 degrees.
I spent the whole day working on the firing. Now, I need to allow it to cool for three days. We will take pictures when we go to unload.
This is a picture of one of the pilots being lit. Have a great day! David
